A quote I have heard attributed to Charlie “Tremendous” Jones is:

In five years you will be the same person you are today except for the people you meet and the books you read.

I have found this to be true. This is one of the reasons I try to meet and get to know people and read as many books as I can. I always want to be growing and improving.

The only addition I would make is that spending time with and learning from the people you already know is also a powerful practice. New ideas can come from new people, books, and from familiar friends and family if we are open to listening and learning.

I am blessed with many such people. Among them are Howard and Chris. I am grateful for the impact they continue to make on my life and my business. Because of them new horizons are opening up for me, and I am grateful.
