We have just launched our new Baselodge Group website. After using our original website for seven years, it is a joy to have the new “face” of our company operational. In addition to the look and feel of the new site, there are four things I really love about the new site:
1. It Tells Who We Are
We are manufacturers’ representatives. While this role has been around for a long time, it still takes a minute to explain it to some people. We believe our new site does a good job of explaining the Baselodge role for both our customers and our suppliers. The About Us section sets the context for what we do as reps, and then the Custom Manufacturing and Products areas put meat on the bones.
2. It Features Our Manufacturers
As reps what we have to offer our customers is what our manufacturers have to offer. So it is important that we highlight the services and products they offer to the marketplace. We shine the light on them via our Line Card, which includes links to their respective websites. We also focus on them and link to their sites in the various service and product sections of our site. This blog area is yet another place for us to announce our suppliers’ capabilities, new services, and new products. We have carefully chosen our suppliers because of their capabilities, quality, and customer service, so we like to feature them in every way we can.
3. It Provides Technical Information via the Tech Room
Our vision for the brand new Tech Room is as a resource for engineers and supply chain professionals to access valuable white papers, technical documents, and design guides that may be relevant to them. Our manufacturers have graciously agreed to provide content for the Tech Room. We will be rolling various documents out over time, and we hope you will visit often and take advantage of the resources in this section.
4. It Allows Online RFQ Submission
Not everyone will be able to submit an RFQ in this way, but for those who can, our new online Request a Quote page makes it convenient to request a quote for most of the manufacturing services and products we offer.
Conclusion
At the launch of this new site, there are several people I want to thank:
- B.J. Allen. B.J. created the original Baselodge website. It really did serve us well, and we are grateful for the care you took in making it happen, B.J.
- Kellen Casey. Kellen is our Business Development Specialist. Her role is heavy on marketing, and she provided valuable input on the look and feel of the new site, as well as doing graphics work for the photos and other visual aspects of the site. Thank you for always going above and beyond, Kellen.
- Fahadh Nazir. Fahadh at Universal Networks created the Tech Room for us and assisted with implementing the new site. Thanks for the work you did, Fahadh.
Please let us know if you have any suggestions for improving the website or the Tech Room, and please visit us often.
