Almost since the inception of Baselodge Group we have offered one or more manufacturing solutions in China along with our many US-based solutions. We have quite a few customers that do their manufacturing through our suppliers in China. However, I had never been able to visit China until last week.
One of our clients has placed some plastics business with us for a new product, so I was able to accompany him over to Shanghai, China along with my supplier, John Fedorjaka at Fedcor Global. John has been to China many times, as has my customer, David. Along with our Chinese colleagues I had plenty of help and support on my maiden voyage to China.
Being a history buff I had many questions for our Chinese hosts. Our Chinese colleagues Barry, Apple, Tian, and Yuen are professionals who are well versed not only in manufacturing but also in Chinese history and language. They were very patient with me and contributed much to my understanding of China. They are very gracious hosts and lovely people.
Our travels took us to the greater Shanghai area including the cities of Yiwu and Wuxian. We visited our plastics tooling factory, one of our injection molding facilities, our plastic blow molding facility, and a couple of specialty factories serving a different industry.
In addition to all types of plastics manufacturing through Fedcor, we also offer in China:
- Electronics (PCBA), sub-assembly, and box-build.
- Keypads and membrane switches.
- Batteries and components.
- Aluminum extrusion.
These are just a few of the services and products Fedcor offers. Our China team knows the language and customs, and they physically inspect and qualify factories before we offer them to our clients. This is a great way to go to China for manufacturing while still transacting with an American company in your language, currency, and in a US time zone. Please let us know what your needs are.
Our complete line card can be found here.
It is my hope that my clients’ needs will take me back to China many times in the future, including trips to southern China and Beijing. Thanks again to John, David, and our gracious Chinese colleagues for a trip that I will never forget.
